dc.description.abstractA great many lines of the rotational spectra of $(CH_{3})_{2}S_{2}$ and $(CD_{3})_{2}S_{2}$ have been measured and assigned in the region from 5.5 to 32 kmc. The difficult assignment of the b-type transitions was accomplished by using the information obtained first from Q-branch lines of $(CD_{3})_{2}S_{2}$ and later of $(CH_{3})_{2}S_{2}$. The most unreliable parameters of the molecular model could thus be consecutively corrected. Finally a $r_{0}$-structure was calculated from the six rotational constants. The dipole moment and the potential hindering the $CH_{3}$-torsion have been determined.en_US
