dc.description.abstractWhen a Ne: $BF_{3}$ sample is codeposited at approximately 5 K with a beam of neon atoms that has been excited in a microwave discharge, all three vibrational fundamentals and the $(\nu 1 + \nu 3)$ combination band of $BF_{2}$ are identified. The $ \nu $3 absorption of $BF_{2}^{+}$ is also present. The positions of these absorptions are close to those obtained in recent {ab initio} $calculations.^{1}$ Other new absorptions can be assigned to $BF_{3}^{+}$, which photodissociates in the red spectral region.en_US
