dc.description.abstractWe have observed transitions from the metastable state to high rydberg states (=10-25) of $He_{2}$. These transitions are detected by collisional ionization the efficiency of which is roughly $constant^{(1)}$ with increasing principle quantum number. This technique is thus well suited for the study of highly excited states states which connot be examined with classical optical $methods^{(2)}$.en_US
