ATR-TECHNIQUE: IR-MATRIX-SPECTROSCOPY WITH HIGH SENSITIVITY
Publisher:
Ohio State UniversityAbstract:
A calculation of the optical properties of a matrix layer on an ATR-plate leads to the prediction of resonance effects for the electromagnetic fields. These resonances cause an increase of the absorption process, therefore a high sensitivity results. With this technique an effective thickness of several hundreds of microns may be obtained with a layer thickness of 10-20 microns, even in the shortwave region of the IR-spectrum. Some experimental results will be presented.""
