ON THE RELIABILITY OF LINE PARAMETERS OBTAINED BY LEAST SQUARES ANALYSIS OF SPECTRA
Publisher:
Ohio State UniversityAbstract:
Various synthetic infrared absorption spectra ware analyzed by standard nonlinear least squares $^techniques^{1,2}$ Typical parameters obtained ware line strengths, line widths, line center frequencies, background profiles, and physical parameters. Based on these analyses, guidelines are proposed for predicting the reliability of results obtained from real spectra.
