ANHARMONIC EFFECTS IN VIBRATIONAL CIRCULAR DICHROISM

A formalism has been developed for the treatment of vibrational circular dichroism using first-order anharmonic wave functions. Expressions have been developed for the optical activity of binary overtone and combination transitions. The theory has been applied to the chiral molecule HCBrClF.
