dc.description.abstractHigh resolution electronic absorption and fluorescence spectra of 2,4,6,8-decatetraene, $CH_{3}{(CH = CH)}_{4}CH_{3}$ have been obtained in alkane Shpol’skii solvents in liquid helium. The very well resolved vibronic spectra will be discussed in terms of the low lying $1_{A_{g}}$, state of linear conjugated polyenes.en_US
