Title: LINE POSITIONS AND STRENGTHS OF $CH_{4}$ IN THE 2700 TO 3000 $CM^{-1}$ REGION Creators: Toth, R. A.; Brown, L. R.; Hunt, R. H. Issue Date: 1976 Publisher: Ohio State University Abstract: High resolution $(0.02 cm^{-1})$ spectra of methane have been obtained in the 2700 to $3000 cm^{-1}$ region. The line positions and absolute line strengths of 3500 absorptions have been measured for gas samples at room temperature. The 2860 to 3000 cm${-1}$ region has been analyzed to determine identifications of transitions in the $V^{3}$ band. Work is in progress to obtain spectra for gas samples in the 150 to $300^\circ K$ temperature range. Description: This research was performed under the auspices of USERDA while the authors were visiting staff members at LASL.
