Title: $\nu_{1}$ AND $\nu_{5}$ BANDS OF FORMALDEHYDE Creators: Brown, L. R.; Toth, R. A.; Hunt, R. H. Issue Date: 1975 Publisher: Ohio State University Abstract: Infrared spectra of formaldehyde have been taken at Florida State University with a resolution of $0.02 cm^{-1}$. A region from 2660 $cm^{-1}$ to 3040 $cm^{-1}$ was scanned at room temperature using 0.25 meter to 2 meter paths and pressures of 200 to 600 microns. Assignments have been made to the overlapping $v_{1}$ and $V_{5}$ bands of formaldehyde, and molecular constants have been determined. Analysis of the absorption strengths of assigned transitions is in progress.
