Title: PULSED SATURATION: DETERMINATION OF ABSORPTION COEFFICIENTS WITHOUT MEASURING CONCENTRATIONS
Creators: Melton, L. A.; Wine, P. H.; Curl, R. F., Jr.
Issue Date: 1975
Abstract: Measurements of pulsed laser induced fluorescence as a function of pulse energy may be used to determine the transition moment and hence the absorption coefficient. At high pulse energies the fluorescence reaches a limiting saturation value. We report preliminary measurements on sodium atoms.
