Abstract: $N_{3}^{-}$ and $^{15}$$NNN^{-}$ have been isolated in KCl, KBr, and KI using the alkali halide pressed disk technique. The infrared spectra of the pellets have been obtained at several temperatures and a number of not bands have been identified. The anharmonic force field of $N_{3}^{-}$ has been determined using a simplified quartic force field.
