Title: THE PURE ROTATIONAL RAMAN SPECTRA OF IODO-ACETYLENE AND CYCLOPROPANE Creators: Jones, W. J.; Stoichefe, B. P.; Tyler, J. K. Issue Date: 1963 Publisher: Ohio State University Abstract: “The pure rotational Raman spectra of iodo-acetylene, cyclopropane and cyclopropane-$d_{6}$, have photographed in the second order of a 21-foot grating. The spectrum of iodo-acetylene was obtained with a gas pressure of 80 mm hg. The resolution achieved was such that it was possible to resolve many of the individual rotational lines and a valve has been obtained for $B_{0}$, the ground state rotational constant. Fur cyclopropane, from the measured values of $B_{0}$, it was possible to obtain a value of tile C--C internuclear distance and a functional relationship between the C--H bond distance and the HCH bond angle.” Description: Author Institution: Division of Pure Physics, National Research Council URI: http://hdl.handle.net/1811/8217 Other Identifiers: 1963-E-10
