Abstract
The absorption by $N_{2}O$, CO, and $CH_{4}$ ill a 704 meter path of air at atmospheric pressure has been used to determine the abundance of these gases at ground level. The accuracy of the measurements was increased by passing the air sample through a column of activated alumina is a selective absorber of $CO_{2}$ and $H_{2}O$.
