Title: INFRARED SPECTRA OF POLYETHYLENE TEREPHTHALATE AND ITS DEUTERATED ISOMERS Creators: Golike, R. C. Issue Date: 1959 Publisher: Ohio State University Abstract: Through use of the deuterated isomers of polyethylene terephthalate, it has been possible to confirm most of the previous assignments, to answer a number of questions existing in previous works, and to obtain a more complete assignment of the infrared bands. It has been possible to assign the major and most of the minor bands of not only the normal polymer but also polyethyelene-$d_{4}$-terephthalate, polyethylene terephthalate-$d_{4}$, and polyethylene-$d_{4}$, terephthalate-$d_{4}$. The procedure used in carrying out the analysis was similar to that followed by Krimm, Liang and $Sutherland^{1}$ for polyethylene. Description: $^{*}$ C. V. Liang, S Krimm and G. B. B. M.
