Abstract: Current conditions impel technical services librarians to consider new ways of doing business, to foster innovation, and to implement innovative ideas. New approaches such as outsourcing and centralizing selection, OCLC's Passport for Windows, and OCLC's PromptCat illustrate the process of facilitating and fostering new ways of thinking about technical services processes.
