Abstract: Two new species of Hydracarina, Tiphys weaveri (Acarina: Pionidae) and Axonopsis ohioensis (Acarina: Axonopsidae), are described from Wayne County, Ohio. The former species inhabits temporary ponds; the latter was collected in a newly formed lake.
