Abstract: A tenebrionid beetle from southwestern United States, Megasida tenuicollis New Species, is described. Two species of this genus are now known from north of the Rio Grande River, the other being M. obliterata (Champion). Ecological and distributional data are presented for both species and their diagnostic characters are discussed and illustrated.
