Title: HIGH RESOLUTION FOURIER TRANSFORM SPECTROSCOPY OF $N_{2}$ AND $D_{2}$ Creators: Reuter, D. C.; Jennings, D. E.; Brault, J. W. Issue Date: 1982 Abstract: Numerous electric quadrupole allowed S, Q, and O branch rotational transitions of the $0\leftarrow 1$ band of $N_{2}$ and the $0\leftarrow 1$ and $0\leftarrow 2$ bands of $D_{2}$ have been measured at Kitt Peak at resolutions of $0.01 - 0.03 cm^{-1}$. Data of this quality should allow a very accurate determination of a Dunham coefficient expansion set. We report the preliminary results of such an analysis. Of particular interest will be the possible effects of the breakdown of the Born Oppenheimer approximation in the Isotopic species of $H_{2}$.
