Abstract: High-resolution spectra of individual rotational lines in the 0-0 and 1-0 bands of oxygen (762 and 668 nm, respectively) have been measured photoacoustically. Line strengths and pressure broadening coefficients have been determined for both self broadening and foreign-gas broadening at pressures up to 3 atm. Comparison of these measurements with previous $observations^{1, 2}$ permits the calibration of the photoacoustic detector response. The importance of the modulation frequency in the absolute calibration is discussed.
