Title: A MILLIMETER WAVE CAVITY SPECTROMETER FOR PPM ASSAYING OF ATMOSPHERIC GAS SAMPLES Creators: Alder, J. F.; Rezgui, N. D.; Allen, J.; Baker, J. G. Issue Date: 1993 Publisher: Ohio State University Abstract: We have constructed a compact servo-controlled Fabry-Perot cavity spectrometer operating through the 60 -190 GHz band which uses frequency modulation in a clean PTFE cell to carry out nondestructive assaying of atmospheric samples admitted through switched piezoelectric valves. 20 MHz width spectral scans of isotopic species in excited states of $OCS, H_{2}O, H_{2}CO$ and other molecules present at a few ppm concentrations are presented. The linearity of detection over decades of concentration ratio in various mixes will be discussed.
