Title: DIODE LASER SPECTROSCOPY OF THE $\nu_{2}$ BAND OF THE $CD_{3}$ RADICAL$^{\ast}$ Creators: Frye, J. M.; Sears, Trevor J. Issue Date: 1987 Publisher: Ohio State University Abstract: The $\nu_{2}$ band of the $CD_{3}$ radical was observed by diode laser spectroscopy, and subsequent analysis yielded the center frequency and rotational constants for both the ground and $\nu_{2} = 1$ states. Radicals were generated by excimer laser photolysis of a slow-flowing $CD_{3}I$/He mixture, and spectra were observed after multiple reflection of the diode laser in a White cell configuration. Spectra were recorded using a Boxcar averager, and analysis of the time dependence of the radical concentration will also be presented.
