Title: DIODE LASER VELOCITY MODULATION SPECTROSCOPY OF NEGATIVE IONS: THE $\nu_{3}$ AND $\nu_{3}+\nu_{2}-\nu_{2}$ BANDS OF THIOCYANATE ($NCS^{-}$) Creators: Polak, M.; Gruebele, M.; Saykally, R. J. Issue Date: 1987 Publisher: Ohio State University Abstract: Over 100 absorption lines in the $\nu_{3}$ and $\nu_{3}+\nu_{2}-\nu_{2}$ bands of $NCS^{-}$ have been detected using velocity modulation spectroscopy with a diode laser. The $\nu_{3}$ band origin lies near $2066 cm^{-1}$. Additional absorptions have been tentatively assigned to the $\nu_{3}+\nu_{1}-\nu_{1}$ band and should enable determination of the equilibrium moment of inertia.
