dc.description.abstract The laser induced fluorescence of the $Rb_{2}$ molecule excited from ring dye or $Ar^{+}$ lasers, has been explored with a high resolution Fourier transform spectrometer. with styryl 9 dye laser excitation the analysis of the observed fluorescence $A{^{1}}\Sigma_{u}^{+}\to X{^{1}}\Sigma_{g}^{+}$ has given accurate molecular constants for the ground electronic state up to $v = 72^{1}$. The 454.5, 457.9, 465.8, 472.7, 476.5 and 488 nm $Ar^{+}$ laser lines excite the $C^{1}\Pi_{u}$ state. Visible fluorescence (P, R doublets and Q lines) is observed for the excitation lines. With the last three ones, infrared fluorescence are $C{^{1}}\Pi_{u}\rightarrow 1 ^{1}\Pi_{g}$ and $C{^{1}}\Pi _{u} \rightarrow 2 ^{1} \Sigma ^{+} _{g}$.
