Title: THE $\nu_{6}$ BAND OF $C_{3}O_{2}$ Creators: Jensen, Per; Johns, J. W. C. Issue Date: 1984 Publisher: Ohio State University Abstract: Spectra of $C_{3}O_{2}$ near $540 cm^{-1}$ have been recorded with a Bomem interferometer at an apodized resolution of $0.004 cm^{-1}$. After deconvolution an effective line width of $\sim 0.0018 cm^{-1}$ has been attained enabling significant progress to be made in the analysis. In addition to confirming an earlier $analysis^{(1)}$ of the fundamental, many of the levels involving up to 3 quanta of the low lying bending vibration $\nu_{7}$, have also been identified and analysed. Aspects of the vibrational Renner-Teller effect will be discussed. Description: $^{(1)}$ L. Halonen, I. M. Mills and J. Kauppinen, Mol. Phys. 43, 913 (1981).
