Title: | LATTICE DYNAMICS OF THIOUREA. |

Abstract: | Frequencies of the lattice vibrations have been measured for each of the five polymorphic forms of thiourea. Raman spectra of an oriented single crystal have made possible an unambiguous assignment of the observed Raman active lattice modes. The temperature dependence of the frequencies and relative Raman intensities will be discussed. Evidence indicating considerable mixing of the translational and librational rigid motions will be presented. |
