Title: COMPLEX NUMBER COMPUTATION FOR INFRARED FOURIER TRANSFORM SPECTROSCOPY. Creators: Thorpe, L. W. Issue Date: 1969 Publisher: Ohio State University Abstract: The correction of "phase errors" existing in interferogram traces obtained from practical farinfrared interferometric Fourier spectrometers will be discussed and demonstrated. The use of a fast'' Fourier transform algorithim to obtain the sine and cosine transforms of one and/or two different functions simultaneously will be described, together with a new method of transforming a large data array which leads to a 50 per cent saving of computer memory space when compared with normal methods of computation.
