Abstract

The absorption spectrum of triethylenediamine, $C_{6}H_{12}N_{2}$, has been measured photoelectrically in the 1050-2700 \AA region with a 1-m monochromator having a 1.0 {\AA} band-width. The first two electronic transitions at 2500 and $1800 {\AA}$ show extensive vibrational structure. Vibrational analyses of these bands will be presented. Spectra of some related mono and diamines will be compared with the triethylenediamine spectrum. The fluorescence spectrum of triethylenediamine will also be discussed.
