Title: $\nu_{3}$ BAND OF $^{15}N_{2}^{18}O$. Creators: Griggs, James L., Jr.; Rao, K. Narahari; Jones, L. H. Issue Date: 1965 Publisher: Ohio State University Abstract: During the course of the investigations pertaining to the bands of the $^{15}N^{18}O$ molecule, an impurity band was observed at $4.6 \mu$. In view of the simplicity of its structure, it was possible to analyze the rotational structure observed in this band and identify it as due to the $\nu_{3}$ fundamental of $^{15}N_{2}^{18}O$. This observation has established the possibility of isolating this isotopic species of nitrous oxide. From the present data the following molecular constants (expressed in $cm^{-1}$) were derived for the $^{15}N_{2}^{18}O$ molecule: ""[FIGURE]"" $$\begin{array}{l}\nu_{o}=2147.58_8;\,\,B''=0.3816_8;\\B''-B'=0.00302_\tau;\,\,D'' \simeq 0.7 \times 10^{-7}.\end{array}$$ Description: Supported, in part, by the U.
