Abstract: The $\nu_{3}$ fundamental vibration rotation bands of both $^{10}BF_{3}$ and $^{11}BF_{3}$ have been observed with a high resolution infrared spectrograph. Since these bands occur in the region of strong water vapor absorption, many precautions had to be taken. It has been found that the peculiar intensity distribution observed for the $\nu_{3}$ bands was responsible for some of the ambiguous and conflicting statements pertaining to their band centers, and $\zeta_{3}$ values. A discussion of the observed data will be presented.
