Title: $\nu_{3}$ OF BORON TRIFLUORIDE. Creators: Dreska, Sister Noel; Rao, K. Narahari; Jones, L. H. Issue Date: 1965 Publisher: Ohio State University Abstract: The $\nu_{3}$ fundamental vibration rotation bands of both $^{10}BF_{3}$ and $^{11}BF_{3}$ have been observed with a high resolution infrared spectrograph. Since these bands occur in the region of strong water vapor absorption, many precautions had to be taken. It has been found that the peculiar intensity distribution observed for the $\nu_{3}$ bands was responsible for some of the ambiguous and conflicting statements pertaining to their band centers, and $\zeta_{3}$ values. A discussion of the observed data will be presented. Description: Supported, in part, by the U. S. Atomic Energy Commission (COO-882-5) through a contract with The Ohio State University Research Foundation as a joint project between the Laboratory of Molecular Spectroscopy and Infrared Studies of The Ohio State University Physics Department and the Los Alamos Scientific Laboratory, Los Alamos, New Mexico. Present Address of Sister Nol: College of St. Francis, Joliet, Illinois. Author Institution: Laboratory of Molecular Spectroscopy and Infrared Studies, Department of Physics, The Ohio State University; Los Alamos Scientific Laboratory, University of California URI: http://hdl.handle.net/1811/14835 Other Identifiers: 1965-L-7
