Abstract: A new Rydberg series of electronic states has been observed in KrD which can be described in terms of a series of p-complexes. The first member of the series, which consists of a $^{2}\Sigma^{+}$ and a $^{2}\Pi$ state separated by $600 cm^{-1}$ shows little sign of $\ell$-uncoupling. The remaining members of the series exhibit rapidly decreasing separations between the $^{2}\Sigma^{+}$ and the $^{2}\Pi$ states. The last members of he series have the structure of completely $\ell$-uncoupled [case(d) p-complexes.
