Title: MICROWAVE MEASUREMENTS OF MANGANESE QUADRUPOLE COUPLING IN CYCLOPENTADIENYL MANGANESES TRICARBONYL Creators: Roehrig, Mark A.; Wallace, David W. Issue Date: 1992 Publisher: Ohio State University Abstract: Microwave measurements of rotational transitions in cyclopentadienyl manganese tricarbonyl were made using a Flygare-Balle type pulsed beam Fourier transform microwave spectrometer in the 4 -û 14 GHz range. 96 hyperfine transitions were assigned for this prolate symmetric top for $J=2 \rightarrow 3$, $3 \rightarrow 4$, $4 \rightarrow 5$, $5 \rightarrow 6$, and $6 \rightarrow 7$. Molecular constants obtained from the analysis of the spectrum are; $B=828.0333(6) MHz$, $D_{j}=0.088(9)KHz$, $D_{jk}=-0.01(3)$ kHz, $eQq_{ua}$$(Mn)=68.00(4)MHz$, $C_{\delta\delta}$($Mn)=-5.5(8)kHz$. This appears to be the first gas phase measurement of the manganese nuciear qudrupole coupling constant.
