Title: INFRARED SPECTROSCOPIC STUDY OF THE QUASILINEARITY OF $NH_{2}^{+}ION$ Creators: Kabbadj, Y.; Huet, T. R.; Choi, S. E.; Oka, T. Issue Date: 1991 Abstract: In a previous $work^{(1)}$ indirect evidence from the spectrum of the $\nu_{3}$ band of $NH_{2}^{+}$ in the $X^{3}B_{1}$ ground electronic state has suggested that this ion is quasilinear. Analogous conclusion is obtained from ab initio $calculations^{(2)}$. An important parameter for quantifying the quasilinear nature of $NH_{2}^{+}$ is the rotational constant A. More spectroscopic work and analysis on the quasilinearity of $NH_{2}^{+}$ will be reported. These concern: 1) our attempts to identify some unassigned rovibrational lines in the 3 $\mu$ region and to observe the $v_{2}$ band. 2) the recent rovibrational ab initio calculations.
