dc.description.abstract A CARS system capable of simultaneous thermometry and $N_{2}$-number-density measurements has been designed, constructed, and used to study a very turbulent propane diffusion flame. The CARS data obtained with this instrument were used to construct probability density functions, flame quantities with adiabatic flame predictions will be discussed. en_US
