Title: $^{12}C^{16}O^{18}O$ : HIGH RESOLUTION EMISSION SPECTRA BY FOURIER TRANSFORM SPECTROSCOPPY (FROM 2000 TO $2400 CM^{-1}$) Creators: Bailly, D.; Guelachvili, G.; Rossetti, C. Issue Date: 1983 Publisher: Ohio State University Abstract: In order to study the vibrational levels of the $CO_{2}$ molecule and those of its main isotopic species, the emission spectra of $CO_{2}-N_{2}$, $CO_{2}-N_{2}-He$ gas mixtures excited by d.c. discharge have been recorded with a Fourier transform Spectrometer (Resolution: $5.4 10^{-3}cm^{-1}$) between 1700 and $2400 cm^{-1}$. The vibrational luminescence of 6 isotopic species $^{12}C^{16}O_{2}$, $^{12}C^{18}O_{2}$, $^{13}C^{16}O_{2}$, $^{13}C^{18}O_{2}$, $^{12}C^{16}O^{18}O$ and $^{13}C^{16}O^{18}O$, have been observed: for each one, thousands of lines from band sequences $v_{1}v_{2}^\ell v_{3} \rightarrow v_{1}v_{2}^\ell (v_{3}-1)$ have been assigned. Results from symmetric molecules have been reported in previous papers. We shall present results obtained from the analysis of 15 vibrational transitions concerning the asymmetric species $^{12}C^{16}O^{18}O$. We shall give the spectroscopic constants associated with the 33 vibrational levels or sublevels observed; these constants allow us to reproduce the experimental wavenumbers with a standard deviation $<8 10^{-5}cm^{-1}$, the best being 4 $10^{-5}cm^{-1}$.
