Title: MOLECULAR CONSTANTS OF $^{12}C^{16}O_{2}$ BANDS IN $1900 cm^{-1} \sim 2150$ $cm^{-1}$ Creators: Sakai, Hajime Issue Date: 1983 Publisher: Ohio State University Abstract: The $CO_{2}$ exhibits several bands of medium strength in $1900 cm^{-1} \sim 2150 cm^{-1}$. In decreasing order of the band strength (at room temperature), they are [11101-00001] band centered at $2076.9 cm^{-1}$, [11102-00001] at $1932.5 cm^{-1}$, [12201-01101] at $2093.3 cm^{-1}$, [20001-01101] at $2129.8 cm^{-1}$, and so forth. The molecular constants determined for these perpendicular bands provide a useful check for consistency in the global molecular constants of $CO_{2}$. The absorption data observed at gas temperature of $800^{\circ} K$ were used to obtain a wide J coverage in the transition. The molecular parameters which are determined consistent with other observed transitions are shown in Table 1 [FIGURE] This work was supported in part by AFOSR under AFGL Contract No. F19628-81-K-0007.
