Abstract: The $B^{2}\Sigma^{+}X^{2}\Pi$ band system of the GeCl molecule wag recorded at high resolution and studied. A natural sample of $GeCl_{4}$ was used to produce the GeCl bands in a microwave discharge. Rotational analysis of the 3022 {\AA} and 3059 {\AA} bands is carried out. Rotational constants for the $^{74}Ge^{35}Cl, ^{72}Ge^{35}Cl$ and $^{70}Ge^{35}Cl$ molecules are derived.
