Abstract: Mosher and $co-workers^{1}$ have prepared optically active neopentyl halides. We intend to measure the circular dichroism spectra of these halides in the C-D stretching region and interpret the data in terms of the charge flow model presented earlier in this session. Application of the model to earlier measurements on neopentyl chloride indicates it can be useful in resolving ambiguities concerning the direction of charge flows.
