Title: ABSORPTION SPECTRUM OF $6.3\mu\ H_{2}O$ BAND $(\Delta\nu_{2} = 1)$ OBSERVED AT $800^{\circ} K$ Creators: Sakai, Hajime; Esplin, Mark P. Issue Date: 1980 Publisher: Ohio State University Abstract: $H_{2}O$ absorption spectral data between $1600\sim 2200$ $cm^{-1}$ taken at a gas temperature of $800^{\circ} K$ will be discussed. With the $H_{2}O$ density $2.53 \times 10^{19}$ molecules/$cm^{2}$ (absorption path of 350 cm with $H_{2}O$ pressure 6.0 torr at $800^{\circ} K$), we observed the excitation of the (010-000) band, extending up to the line of $(22_{0,22}-21_{1,21},22_{1,22}-21_{0,21})$. The measurement was done with a spectral resolution of $0.0060 cm^{-1}$ and a position accuracy of .0002 $cm^{-1}$. Our analysis will be focused on those high J lines of the (010-000) band and on those of the (020-010) band, both of which were known previously only with s limited accuracy figure.
