Title: COLLSIONAL ROTATIONALLY INELASTIC RATE CONSTANTS OF VIBRATIONALLY EXCITED HCl BY INVERSION OF PRESSURE BROADENING MEASUREMENTS IN THE 0-4 THROUGH 0-7 OVERTONE BANDS Creators: Zughul, M.; Gelfand, J.; Rabitz, H.; DePristo, Andrew E. Issue Date: 1979 Publisher: Ohio State University Abstract: Pressure broadening coefficients of rotation vibration lines in the 0-4 through 0-7 overtone bands of HCl have been obtained utilizing a Fourier Transform spectrometer at Kitt Peak National Observatory in conjunction with a 409 meter pathlength White cell. This data has been inverted utilizing the procedure of DePristo and Rabitz to yield state-to-state rotationally inelastic rate $constants.^{1}$ These experiments along with previous data on the fundamental and lower ovartone bunds of HCl provide information about the change of rotationally inelastic interactions for a wide range of vibrational excitation in HCl.
