Issue Date: 1978 Publisher: Ohio State University Abstract: Raman spectra of chromatographically pure cis-trans isomers of Anhydrovitamin $A_{1}$ have been obtained in $77^{\circ}\;K$ glasses with laser excitation at several wavelengths. The intensity and polarization ratio behavior will be presented along with a discussion of the $77^{\circ}\;K$ absorption spectra. Both the single-bond and double-bond vibrational modes are found to increase in frequency upon electronic excitation.
