Title: THE MICROWAVE SPECTRUM OF 2-CYCLOHEPTEN-1-ONE Creators: Kitchin, Robert W.; Malloy, Thomas B., Jr.; Cook, Robert L. Issue Date: 1977 Publisher: Ohio State University Abstract: The microwave spectrum of 2-cyclohepten-1-one [graphic] has been studied in the regions 26.5-40 GHz and 7.0-12.4 GHz. An analysis of the ground state transitions yielded the rotational constants (in MHz): A = 2997.27, B = 2049.23, C = 1399.76. Transitions from an excited vibrational state were also analyzed and the rotational constants obtained. A study of the Stark effect yielded the dipole moment components (In Debye): $\mu_{a} = 3.63 \pm 0.02$ and $\mu_{c} = 0.88 \pm 0.04$. The Stark effect data was not sensitive to $\mu_{b}$. The structure will be discussed in light of these data.
