Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center (OARDC)

The Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center is the premier center for agricultural research in Ohio. The OARDC manages over 7100 acres in Ohio, including 2000 acres in Wayne County, and conducts research at eleven locations throughout the state.
The OARDC was created as the Ohio Agricultural Experiment Station in 1882, and moved from its original location on Ohio State's Columbus campus to Wooster in 1892. OARDC faculty share academic appointments with departments in the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences, the College of Biological Sciences, the College of Human Ecology, and the College of Veterinary Medicine.
