The primary function of the CJRC is to serve as a catalyst for
and facilitate collaborative interdisciplinary and
multidisciplinary research on crime/delinquency and justice issues.
We do so in a variety of ways. Most importantly, center faculty and
graduate affiliates conduct research on "Crime and Community,"
"Youth, Crime, and Justice," and "Criminal Justice Policy."

CJRC was awarded Byrne funding to conduct descriptive studes of crime in various Ohio jurisdictions. The goal of the project was to provide a foundation for local criminal justice agency planning by informing agencies of their most prevalent crimes, including whether the crimes were stable, increasing or decreasing.
