The Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Turfgrass Management was created in 1974. The degree title was shortened to Turfgrass in 1975. However, in 1979 it was again renamed Turfgrass Management, which is still offered today. In 2003 ATI also developed a certificate program in Commercial Turf Equipment, which is still offered.
