The Jesse Owens Photographs collection contains more than 800 images documenting Owens’ life, spanning the time period from the 1920s through the 1970s. The gallery contains images from Owens' early track years and his activities at The Ohio State University, with an emphasis on his time with the OSU track team. In addition, the site includes photographs from the 1936 Berlin Olympics, in which Owens won four gold medals. The majority of the collection covers his life after the 1936 Olympics and includes his involvement with a variety of activities, including his speaking engagements and appearances at various events. Other photographs of note include Owens’ promotional work with the Olympics and his involvement with charity groups and children’s track events.
A complete inventory of the Jesse Owens Collection can be found online.
