Abstract: The fluorescence lifetimes of several bimolecular excited state complexes (exciplexes) have been measured following pulsed laser excitation. Rate constants for exciplex quenching by electron donors and acceptors have been obtained and are indicative of a preferred geometry for the termolecular quenching interaction.
