| Title: | CEO organizational identification, inter-party cooperation and IJV performance |

| Abstract: | The literature on cooperation in the alliance literature has traditionally focused on external and structural factors. In this study, we examine how an internal, psychological factor – CEO organizational identification – may impact cooperation and the performance of international joint ventures (IJVS). We argue that while IJV CEO identification with the venture has a direct positive effect on venture performance, identification with the parent firms enhances IJV performance indirectly through the positive influences on the cooperation between the IJV and the parent firms. |
