| Abstract: | Authority control work has been affected as libraries implement online catalogs. Individual libraries rely on the Library of Congress but still need local control for original cataloging and for integration of old headings with new or changed headings. Automation allows showing the work of establishing and maintaining headings through cooperative ventures like the NACO project. |
